oil pressure and oil temp sensors

I did a search and looked at the threads but I am still a little confused. I would like to install both an oil pressure and oil temperature sendor. I am looking for the cleanest solution. For the temp sendor is a drain plug adapter the best way to go? I assume I should just replace the original sendor for the oil pressure?

For oil pressure: if you have the room, you can simply replace the stock pressure switch with the gauge sending unit. The sending units are also available in dual post so you can still hook up your factory idiot light.

If you do not have the room for the sender, there are a couple ways to go: Buy an adapter plate that shifts the sender mounting point, or do a complete remote mount. You can find these parts at BMP, Bimmerworld etc.

Mariano,I always thought all M3`s had a factory pressure gauge in place of the economy gauge?

Use an adapter and a short length of AN hose to mount the sender on the frame rail. Then you can put a distribution block on the end of the AN hose and keep the stock sender.
