    bavauto.com Tie Rod Assembly...OK?

Just wondering if everyone here at R3V approves of and supports the tie rod assembly sold by Bavarian Autosport. Who is the manufacturer of that tie rod that they sell, or do they just make it?

Another curious thing: the CarQuest in my area sell just the inner tie rod for about $70, and the outer for around $50. Why is it $120 for a tie rod assembly through a local parts dealer and $40 through bavauto.com?

Weird...anyway, let me know what you guys think of the quality of the one through bavauto.com, or the quality of the one that's really expensive through CarQuest. Thanks,

Contact KO performance ask for Erick or BMA and ask for Patrick. They are forum sponsors and will sell you great parts for a really good price. Lemfoerder is the brand you want Bavauto's are probably Mayle and not near as good. $120 through a local store is just a rip off period since they are not likely lemfoerders

Bavauto sells junk when it comes to suspension.

Yea, I figured the high price through local dealers was just that plain and simply, a rip off.

So, does that mean that Mayle aren't acceptable, will they do? Or should I just straight up go with Lemfoerder? How much is it for a tie rod assembly through Erik?

        Thanks

Meyle are just fine. IIRC, KO offers meyle control arms at 52 dollars each, so I'm guessing they have the same brand tie rods.

Actually we don't offer the Meyle tie rods. For tie rods, we offered Karlyns (whose quality is really put into question as I've warrantied 2 sets of those) and the Lemfoerders.

I was speaking to one of my r3v customers today who bought the new Meyle HD control arms from us. He said he couldn't even tell the difference from a Lemfoerder.

My warehouse manager's been preaching the Meyle HDs as a comeback from Meyle with quality parts. I know a few guys seem to be pretty satisfied here and I will probably pick them up for my track e30 next time around.
