Speed TV - Test Drive with Tom Kendal

    GREAT SHOW.

If you want a honest to god true and unbiased car analysis and opinion of a late model car this is the show to watch.

Lat night former Trans Am champ Tommy Kendal put the Karmann built Chrysler Crossfire to the test on the autobahn and at Willow Springs. Last week he tested the new Cadillac Luxo Sprt SUV.

As far as I know this is the only car test show where the opnion of the car character comes from a winning race car driver.

The best part of the show is when Tommy takes the car on the track and he and special guest race car driver screw around on the track, drafting and passing and generally put the car through its paces while holding casual conversations about the car via a 2 way radio.

While I enjoy the commentary, I absolutely love to watch these guys drive the pants of production cars.

they have a few bmw episodes. one is with bill auberlen (current TMS and PTG driver) and the E46 M3, one's with Hans Stuck (also currently PTG) and the E60 530i, and there's another one with the Z4. i love those shows, Hans Stuck is one of my all time favorite drivers :)

Hmmm I saw the one with the Audi S4 and S6..... I just remember the guy messing up on some turn.... yet he counters it while maintaining a regular conversation. He does not hesitate for a second in his dialogue..... amazing

I liked watching him do his damndest to keep a straight face while doing that Cadillac episode.

Nice to see an ex-driver with a fused ankle still find work though. Almost as good as watching him pull Danica Patrick around Long Beach.

I see that show as a long infomercial for whatever car they are show casing. I've never heard them say anything bad about any of the cars.

seeing the various drivers ripping around is neat though.

I loved the episode with the new S4 and the race version on track at the same time

...speaking of that car, I thought they didn't look all that bad in pictures - but my friend saw one up close recently and said they're one of the most hideous looking cars ever. He said the windshield is lined with some sport of plastic piece that looks out of place. Anyone else noticed this or seem it in person?

Yeah, they have like a 3" chrome strip that wraps around the windshield. It looks retarded on red ones. Not a huge fan.
