    Pictures of a 535 turbo

Some shots of what is to become a killer M30 turbo machine (500+ hp):

I don't know much about the car except that the block is O-ringed, the head has a Dr Schrik 284/280 cam although I'm not sure about the cam. It says below the pictures who has manufactured the intake and exhaust manifold, they're getting to be well known among BMW turbo enthusiasts in Sweden.

I would be suprised if they're not using Autronic. It's very popular, and gets you started real quick (self-mapping to a certain point). The guys helping out on this project uses Autronic in most of their projects, but MegaSquirt has been tested.. The machine is probably ready later this summer.

TCD already builds one in two stages... Non inter cooled and an Intercooled version. They have a website, look up member name of TCD under search button and look at his website.

          I've seen the website, it's a great business idea.. But I don't like :
          - Log typ exhaust manifolds ??
          - Non-intercooled (stage 1) turbo kits ??
I don't question the power increase, but there are technically better ways of getting there. They should only offer the stage 2 kit with a better exhaust manifold, that'd be nice.

No it's a good way to market them due to financial cost if you can't afford a stage two you can add it at a later dat and Know it was designed as part of system.

There is only one thing about that manifold that disturbs me. Too many welds! I know it's a prototype correct. Well I hope some one is a great welder because with that many and viabrations one will crack sooner or later.

                Hence the Log type.

The manifold is no prototype, and yes the guy who made it is a great welder.
He is one of the people behind the car discussed in this thread on this forum:

They started their own company to produce performance parts:

Well there is no discussion at that thread just ohh's and ahhs. And whinning. And nothing happens at that webpage. No links except to the e-mails. I would much rather have a seam rolled tubes bent to needs.

I didn't realise they hadn't finished the page, they have someone working on it.
The two guys are both from Avesta in Sweden and they both have Andreas as their first-name so it's confusing.

Andreas "bmw-andreas" Arthursson built this 750 hp E30 with an M50 turbo:

He has sold 50+ exhaust manifolds, no reported cracks yet.

Andreas "Bäckis" Bäckström dragraces an E21 with an M20 turbo (<10 sec):

I would pay money for large tube exhaust manifold and an intake manifold set up for the 3.5L motor. Right now I will use the log type manifold because that is what I have but if I had an option I would jump on it ASAP.

I tried the link but the site is under construction I think. I will keep trying until it works.

It's written in the "Caption" of each picture (8 and 10), it says "Bäckis" so we're talking about Andreas Bäckström.
