YES...the Eibach DOES fit over the m42 intake manifold. The Sparco bar DOES NOT fit over the m42.

Will has a Sparco bar... my bad, not Eibach.

Can you get the strut bars on fairly easily with the car on the ground,or do you have to lift the car on jack stands and beat the strut brace on with a rubber mallet?

I highly doubt you'd need jackstands, just a floor jack underneath the center of the car would do it. Mine was about 3/4" off.

here's pics of the sparco strut bar in a M42.

i dunno how he made it fit but seems to work. I personally 'test' fitted it in a m42 and it rub against the intake manifold.

I do have a few new strut bars with me if anyone needs them.

                  thanks

The Sparco is a very nice peice. It's one unit and is made of steel. There are no joints/bolts that will compromise ridgidity.

I installed one on my e30 M3. I had to jack it from the middle and let it sit there for a while (sag) so I could line up the bolts to the bar.

                      Good Luck

UDM motorsport can hook you up with the sparcos. I saw it installed on his 325 today. Looks VERY NICE.
