    construction.... i hate it

ok.... the house behind mine it being added on to.... i used to be able to see cars driving on the street at the end of the neighbor hood... now all i can see is their unfinished house. to make things worse for the past 3 weeks they have been starting work at about 7:30 in the morning. The days i work it is not a problem, but the days i dont i want to be able to sleep in. The good thing is for the most part they are done with construction!!!!

now for the bad part--- when my parents bought this house (brand new) there were some problems.... water was getting behind the brincks on the house, the floor in the kitchen wasn't level because of the heating ducts and the tiles were coming out of the floor. One of the walls is bowed in, and there are 3 spots on the wall that were not properly repainted (from having pictures on the wall when showing the house)

right now there are some contractors over at my house banging on the wall and pulling all the trim off the windows.... its damn loud, and there are about 6 people all banging at the same time from different sides of the house.

to make things worse....... this is a neighborhood with 6 houses, and no parking at all, and with the contracotrs here they take up, all of it.

now for another bad part. The entrance to the neighbor hood is sort of a tile/stone.... part of it had a tiny crack and the city said it had to be fixed. someone came out here with a jack hammer to tear up the small part and replace it.... turns out when he took that small part out it cracked another part, so they took that part out as well.... kept on cracking out farther... they finally came out with a stone cutting circular saw and cut so it wouldnt crack any farther.... it has been about two weeks now since they have done anything, and this is what it looks like now.....

i am just pissed because it is hard to get into my neighborhood, it is hard to park in my neighborhood, and it is hard to sleep in my neighborhood

"Borrow" a fork lift, jackhammer, or other large piece of equipment and go have some fun. Guaranteed improvement in mood.

Maybe you should go to the sleeping chamber in the east wing of your house.

construction is the life blood of america. The fact that it doesnt fit in with your schedule is not really a big deal, pull the blanket over your head.

I've been going to construction sights since I could walk, and have worked in that field since I could hold a job. I love the smell of sawdust and diesel fuel, and I see construction projects as a sign of the economic prosperity of the nation

oh ya... and at my work (discount tire) they are remodeling the showroom and the waiting room and our break room..... well they have almost finished the break room but as soon as then do the breakroom will be the new office until the showroom is done being refinished...

our break room is smaller now, but a lot nicer..... for the past 2 months and for the next 3-4 months our break room will continue to be bay 5 of the shop

There are worse things in life than loud noise and no parking.
