Our latest father son project is ready for the season!

The E30 my son and I have been building for a Street/Autocross/Track ride.
It is a 1987 325is with 153k on the Odometer.
We bought it from a nice couple in Washington. The car was mostly stock except for an Anza exhaust about 3 weeks ago.
Since then we have put in:
Ground Control coil over suspension – It is corner balanced.
    Koni adjustable shocks
    Sparco stress bar
    Ireland Engineering sway bars
    Stainless steel brake lines
    Cross drilled rotors
    UUC Short Shifter Kit
    Custom exhaust with Magnaflow components
    Ellipsoid headlights
BBS RGR wheels with BF Goodrich KDW-2 tires (Kept the stock rims and they have Hoosier A6 tires)
    Momo wheel
    VDO gauges
    Alpine head unit and amp
    Infinity Kappa speakers
    Kicker Sub and amp

We have been working none stop getting it ready for its first autocross on March 30th. The car is up for a cooling system replacement this weekend and should be completely ready for upcoming events.

A little side note on the car. It handles really nicely.

    Questions and comments are welcome.

It feels a little mis-matched, but pretty cool. I like the rims for sure..

Nice (minus the cross drilled rotors and sub box). Rear springs looks like 650? what are the fronts and how much camber are you running ?

The rear springs are what comes in the Ground Control kit. I think 650 is right. Suspension is set at the following:
        Coner Balance data:
        Left Front 823
        Rear Front 747
        Left Rear 711
        Right Rear 696
        Alignment settings:
        Front Camber - 2.5
        toe out 1/8 " total
        1/8" toe in in rear
        Rear Camber 2.3

This is a balanced setting for street and track. I used an esteemed race shop, TC Designs in San Jose.

Nice. The wheels need maybe a 5mm or 10mm spacer for the perfect "look" as far as aggressive stance, but other than that it's great.

Very nice early model. My dad and I have a 67 Mustang, but we haven't touched that in months.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Nicely done. In my opinion its not so much about the end result, its more about the time spent with your son.

                Kudos!

I like the strut bar, its simple but unique probably was an easy job to make it different too. I can't wait till my kid is old enough to these jobs.

+1 on what super duper wrote

There were countless hours I spent with my dad in the garage underneath the car, under a hood because we had to-money was tight. I actually appreciate those times now because that was when we were able to bond, him telling me how life was, even using examples of working on cars (things don't rarely ever go as planned) as a lesson.

The wheels have 10mm spacers now. Are you suggesting maybe 5mm more?
