    I tell you.....

..a little stab at idle and the car stutters before it recovers and revs up, you tell me, to start looking at?

I'm going to replace the plugs tomorrow, I just wanted to know what other R3v'ers have done to help make the M20 more responsive.

I know its not a torquey motor or anything, but I want to increase throttle response as much as I can.

Mostly all M20's that I've noticed tend to do this. They just suck from idle, 0% throttle input. I presume it's something in the ECU with how fast it reacts to how much gas it should be getting immediately etc once it opens up from fully closed on the throttle sensor. Reason I say that, is typically if you're holding the revs at even about 1000, just above idle, and jab it, the same stuttering won't occur...

You're never going to have great off-idle throttle response when an air flow meter is being used to measure the air. The delay comes from the time it takes for the motor's vaccuum to suck open the AFM door.
