Speed trap info on your mobile phone?

Saw this on the news this am. Looks kinda intriguing, but depends on enough people participating I would think. Has anyone tried it or know anything about it? The info on the site states its still beta, but its free.

Looks pretty cool... A friend of mine is actually working on an idea similar to this but relating to social events, mainly HH.

        If...

"If its not broken, don't fix it"

That's the famous words for american...as well as the cops, of course.

I know that you are nice by doing this effort, i appreciate that.
and the web owner making good money out of it, but ...

this is not so good for the long run, while the cops are (maybe) reading this, or not getting enough "fish" they used to have anymore soon.

This would leads them to find another way to make money out of you, such as cameras, sensors, automated-ticket by mail, etc.

So, why don't we just keep them confident and proud of the famous words above? ;)

          ???

"Hai Guis Im Using Teh Internets"

That's the famous words for the interwebz. Nobody is making any money off it. If you would have read about it, you would know. BTW, cameras, sensors and "automated-ticket by mail" already exists...

I just passed up two speed traps on the way back home. While someone next to me happened to be driving faster than me both times, it would have been nothing but beneficial to know they were there..
