    Car Appraisal ?'s

Who here has A) Gotten their car Appraised, and 2nd) How much did it cost.

I am working with my insurance company to insure my white one as a weekend pleasure car (which it is) and have full coverage on everything that i have put into it

for a 9K Value, they rated me at 1300 a year, for full Comp/Collision, and a 500 Dollar Deductable. However I do need to prove value, I just shot off 9K to think on the REALLY high end of the spectrum (where the car will be in a year anyway)

Also if anybody knows a good appraiser in teh seattle/tacoma area, please let me know =)

We have had severa; of our cars appraised and it was $25 a pop. The guy used a car collectors book that has higher values than NADA & KBB. Well worth the $25, even if you don't have the car insured for that amount through your insurance policy because if you were to get in an accident (not at fault) and have your car totaled, the other insurance company would have to payout it's appraisal. Evenif you don't have the car insured for the appraised amount on your policy, they will have to take it into consideration if you were to get in an accident and be at fault.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, ask.

I am in the same boat and know I have somewhere between 10k - 15k invested. I would be very interested in appraising it as well, as I would hate to lose all of this money I've dropped. I have been collecting all of my receipts from major purchases and sometime I'll go through and add up what I can account for.

Mind if I ask what insurance company you have that just let you claim $9000? I have Country Companies and they don't do that, they say I can have it appraised to backup a claim. But even an appraisal is going to be way shy of what is invested.

Depends on who you take it to ;) Find someone who will give you a high appraisal.

My Insurance Company is Liberty Mutual, I tried State Farm, but I am far from impressed iwth how they treat me when I call (if your under 25 they treat you like Skum)
