SD guys help me resurrect my e30...

I wanna get back into the seat of my e30 and I pretty much need a whole motor or someone to help me figure out why my motor sounds like crap and runs poorly. I also need to replace the brakes, fix the fan for the ac/heater, need a new steering rack, repaint, interior redone, voltage regulator, alternator, holy crap it needs alot of work.

what does the motor sound like (what is the noise that it's making)

It makes a loud rattling noise and gets louder when I rev it or when its fully warmed up but it sounds fine when its started. Kinda hard to explain it needs to be heard to get the full effect

well, when it happened on mine, it started as a loud rattle type sound and progressed to a louder "knock". :shrug:
