Ian- gotcha. The 968 felt much much firmer pedal feel wise than any e30 I've driven. Also the 'drop anchor' feel that is so much fun was definately in full effect, again, better than any e30 I've been in

Rob,
After driving one of these awhile back, I have kept a faint interest in them. I've actually watched a few go on EBay and thought I might want to consider one after school. However, the repair record is a huge deal as I am sick of dealing with problems (after the SHIT I've been through with my E30, my next car will be reliable and stock...well mostly stock).
Anyway, how much per year was maintenance costing this guy?

well he had 6 years worth of dealership reciepts, only on was less than a grand, about 7 or 8 visits in total.
Brakes- alex had stock brakes with mild pads, nothing special really
Boxster maintainence is better, for now......we'll see how they hold up. Just like people are saying "oh the e46 is reilable blah blah blah", we'll see once a lot start hitting 100k miles....BEERTECH
