Made some little kid's day yesterday

I was in the local T-Mobile store looking for a case for my new phone, and as I was leaving, this mom was coming in with her 3 kids, one of them was about 12, and holding the door for everyone. As I was walking toward the door, I heard him saying to his brothers "check out that bimmer". So when I got to my car, he saw it was mine, and he goes "NICE BIMMER!" So I said "thanks", got in, and started it up, and he was still standing there.

So as I was leaving the parking lot, I got toward a spot where it opens up really big around around a corner, revved it up, dropped the clutch, and flung the car sideways around the corner for a good 50-60 feet. When I looked back in my rear-view, I saw the kid jumping up and down with both hands in the air screaming "YEEEEAH!!!!" I thought it was cool that the little guy complimented me on my car, so I felt like giving him a little something back. :D

Yeah, for sure. Kids are always rubbernecking at my car, it's cool. Especially if I'm coming home around the time school gets out, there's always a million kids in my subdivision walking back from the bus stop, they all gawk at it.

I did something like that once with my manual Suburban... (I know, not the same, but that bitch would hang her ass out if you wanted)
The parents came over and bitched me out about it. *sigh*

That's badass, the kids look at my car like its a ferrari but half of them have seen Tokyo drift so that's all they want is a drift show.

God I hate what that movie did to everyone that has a rwd car.

                    Very cool.

My 3 gets a lot of looks from kids, It's a wild color and sounds like a jet on take off.

(gets a lot of looks from old folks too - not good ones though)

I like to scare the shit out of kids when my exhaust breaks from the headers back...

That's awesome, I love it when things like that happen.

I WAS that kid! Well I wasn't a kid but when my friends eta's exhaust broke off at the headers, he loved to scare the shit out of me. Start it up real quick and tap rev limit, I swear I thought my ears were going to bleed everytime he did it.

Nice story. I had a mom stop me heading into a store and told me that her young kid loves my car, and gawks it every time they drive by the house.

I said thank you, and then bit my tongue. I almost say "have him drop by, I'll show it to him" - then I realized that in this day and age how pervy that sounds.

Should have told her to stop by and you'd show it to her.
