Just because your E30 is an old piece of shit doesn't mean that MY E30 is an old piece of shit.

Even if you owned a brand new just built E30, if you put it next to half the new cars built today, yeah, it's a piece of shit spec for spec. So please, all you uber is owners rant about how eta's are complete pieces of shit, but your cars are sooo awesome. The only mentionably E30 is the M3, and that is more of a collectible aspect than the sheer performance, although it isn't unimpressive. Also please note how the E30 M3 owners never seem to rag on 325is owners. Why you ask? Simple, there cars don't suck so they feel no need for self affirmation by putting down a lower trim car. I bought an eta because it's in great condition, and I know that no m20's are fast from the factory much less 20 years down the line, all I was buying was a nice commuter. I have a 3000GT VR4 for a go fast car. The only way to have a really fast E30 is to swap out the m20, at which point, all that matters is the condition of the interior of your car basically. I love the E30 community, I just find it laughable how a lot of the i/is owners constantly feel the need to try and justify how great and fast their car is just because it beats out the econotuned version.... big whoop. A Civic Si is faster than a Civic Ex, so congratulations tool, go walk outside and turns the "is" on your trunk lid around, you just became a ricetard in your POS 20 year old car.

learn to read, I love the cars, I just hate the i and is owners who try to rag on eta's being shit. What you just felt is exactly what those i/is owners try to do to eta owners, so yeah it needs to be put into perspective, and what I said was, the difference between my e and an i is less than the difference between and i and an m, and yet m owners don't feel the need to bash on i owners like i owners bash on e's. Sorry for any confusion, don't read it as me hating E30's, I love E30's and the community, the only people I hate are roundel worshippers and eta hating i drivers. They all need reality checks.

A fast car is fast regardless of what is faster or slower than it.

Getting beat or beating another car in a race doesn't make your car slow or fast, it makes you win or loser.

Let's take a minute and analyze your comparison of ETAs vs. ISs vs. M3s:
The ETA motor produced 121bhp, the I motor produced 168bhp and the S14-powered M3 had 195bhp in stock form.

The E30 body weighs near as makes no difference, 2850 lbs.

On an ETA this makes 85 bhp per ton, an IS therefore has 118 bhp per ton and an M3 has 137 bhp per ton.

Therefore an E30 M3 has 19 more bhp per ton than a 325is and the latter has 33 more bhp per ton than an ETA. And this is all stock mind you...

This is a pretty large gap so your statement about ETAs and ISs being much closer than ISs and M3s completely wrong. Suspension is different on all three models and all three can be modified. The 325is has a much lower final drive ratio than the E car so not only does it have more power it is able to transfer more of that power to the pavement.

I've never driven a Geo of any kind so I can't comment on that aspect of your rant but I can tell that based on your misguided comparisons amongst the different E30 models you probably have a skewed view of how fast cars actually are. Go drive a real E30 and then come talk to us, obviously your ETA is a shitbox like 90% of the others out there.

Not saying it's the fastest car ever, or even very quick, it's heavy, but still respectably quick (even with stock sti's and such to 100 then it's gone, for what it's worth) but when it comes to a highway roll, you have to be kidding yourself or just no dick about the cars to think you walk away from them on the highway.

BTW you nitpicking the comparison between the eta and i's and M does nothing but prove my point, that being you know your car is slow and therefor have to feel there is a point to be proven.
