Finally figured out my clutch problem.

This is what I wrote last week
Well I took everything off this weekend and reinstalled the new alu flywheel, new clutch, pressureplate,TO bearing, TO lever/pin.everything is new.I even bought a new slave cylinder.I run ATE blue and bled. But still the same crap.Car moves forward while in first or back while in reverse with the clutch pedal all the way in and reving to a few grand.Still cant get into 1st or reverse without forcing it in.
Today I took everything off again but measured EVERYTHING and guess what.Bekkers sent me the WRONG MPD flywheel. The stock is exactly 1 in from the mount base to flywheel surface. This Alu one is 1 1/4 inch! No wonder the clutch would never disengage.Turns out its for an E30 M3.(same diameter 228mm)The part # is on the flywheel but it was placed in the wrong box...box says another part # for e30 325is.They were already closed so gotta wait till monday to see what can be done.i hope it will be an even exchange...I only put about 5 miles on the car.

Oh and by the way thanks BILL 318...you are the one who suggested the measruing.

Having worked in the parts department the last 10 months, that is called a MISPICK. Its the parts distribution center's fault, so hopefully they take care of you and don't just say you should have checked first...
          good luck man!

yup I know its really not Bekkers fault but hopefully the guy remembers when I told him to double check it.He put me on hold for like 5min then came back on the line and said "yup all its for a 325i alright"The box itself was retaped so they must have done something. But this was 3 weeks ago so I doubt they remember every conversation.

At least its for an E30 M3...so I can make most of my money back in case they dont want to exchange it.
