Choosing best forum match for my problem?

Have two problems and one question related to shocks. Have searched to beat hell w/o finding help. Car is '87 325is with 300k+.

Question is which Forum is best, and if General Techncal is not the best, can posts be edited to move to another forum.

    1) Mystery shocks where the fronts are rock hard, reminds me of clogged orifices in front Konis in a 2002 that I had, and rears are very soft as in worn slam out.

2)Rubber in rear shock mounts has lots of slop/loose and appears to be crumbling away. Need part and tip on replacing rubber from inside the trunk w/o removing the shock.

    3) '87 325is was claimed to have Bilsteins as OEM. Would these shocks at 300k+ still have the Bilstein life time warranty and if so how to claim? How identify Bilsteins?

Not a complaint, but most of my BMW forum experience is 2002, e28, and e34 where there are basically one technical forum and that's it. All the choices here leave me a little uneasy about choosing the most effective, and based on differences in number of viewers, the quickest help.

Sorry to be so long, but if I'm going to be posting on board the I'd like to be a good citizen, with clear posts in the right forum, and making useful conributions if and when I can.

for No. 2. It would save so much trouble to remove the shock. its not hard at all, just undo the bolt on the trailing arm, and the two on your shock mount. then on a work bench swap out new mounts, and reinstall. And if your rear shocks are soft and worn out, then replace those. What springs are you using? Stock? Aftermarket?

For No. 3. I dont think you can get a lifetime warranty on the OEM shocks....
