    What happens when......?

you loose the last key to a car!!?? This is not good guys, While my car has been down for a little while ive been driving my dads 94 mazda pickup. I lost the key last night and ive been looking for it for about 1&1/2 hours. Im going crazy + my dad i going to kill me. I remember someone saying that if you lose your last bimmer key that bmw keeps a record of all the keys for the vin or something like that. Does anyone know what else id be able to do? Im in deep this time. Im going to go continue ripping my house apart. thanks in advance.
    later.

Goto the dealer. Show them proof of ownership and the VIN number. You will have a key a week or so later. Expect a $30-50 bill for the service.

Ditto what Jordan said. BMW in Germany has it all on record.

They take around 2 days to get and they vary in price, from around $25 for standard key to $37 for a lighted key.

AAA can do it for free in the meantime in about 45 min. It's not an official BMW key but it gets the job done.

Read the post. He said his car has been down, so he's been driving his dad's truck. But he lost his last Bimmer key.

i think he would know which key he lost.... 318driver was clearing up that he did infact loose the key to his dads truck, why would his dad care if he lost the key to his own car....

yes the mazda dealership should be able to get you a new key as long as the ignition hasnt been changed..... also a good locksmith could make a new key.... or if worse comes to worse, you could buy a new ignition from the dealer or junkyard... with a key

yup, you always gotta look there. My g'friend lost her retainers and was suffering from terrible headaches, my 1st question was if she had checked there...obviously she didn't but that's always the 1st place to check as most ppl usually leave their drawrs open just a bit, causing stuff to fall in.
