I had a bad set off wires and dumped a butt load of fuel in to my cat and presto, instant gutted cat. Very raspy and noticeable cabin noise increase. Video download is 100% complete

Based from that video I now think that I will get something else. Sounds very stock to me becides the rasp.

Stupid ? , but how did you dump in gas into your cat ?? Do you mean while your exhaust was off the car ?

Mine sounds nothing like that. His sound has to be because of his cat. Mine is on a stock cat and honestly sounds the same as oem and is barely any louder.

Jesse can you get a good audio clip of your guys catback exhaust?

the fitment is good but not perfect. Heres how it attached to my stock setup. the pipes are a little close together so I had a exhaust leak. Also I wasn't happy with the non rolled tips which you can barely see from behind the car so I went with a remus.

Tips are alot beefier and fitment was better. Louder than IE but in a good way.

The sound quality is crap cause I was using a $100 aiptek video camera. The sound is muffled and the raspings is from the cars in front of me. The wire from the coil was separated and while i was coming home from snowboarding I was going down hill for about a half mile with my foot on the pedal and no spark. By the time i noticed i was not getting any power and that the car was off, the cat had accumulated so much fuel that when it final did fire it up there was a big bang and glowing ambers flying out of my exhaust. I have since replaced the cat with a magnaflow unit. On a side note i also have a walker exhaust system that is a little bit louder collecting dust.

some of the ebay cat backs look surprisingly similar to the IE units. Does anyone have any insight on this?

It does say on IE's website for this exhaust, that they aren't "as greedy as some other vendors" which leads me to believe they aren't building these in house. Maybe that's already common knowledge, but this one does look exactly the same.

Was my understanding the IE exhaust is a China built piece.

It's funny you say that. They charge $425 on their site, but it starts at $256 and has a buy it now for $300 plus shipping.
