Hm, I'm having difficulty locating info on domestic returnless fuel injection operating pressures, but I was under the impression that some domestic cars ran pretty high fuel pressures. Maybe it was some early single port efi systems or something.
Anyway, if you use regular fuel hose (SAE 30R7), it has the tendency to become brittle much faster than fuel injection hose (SAE 30R9), as fuel injection hose has a liner inside that is extremely fuel resistant that the regular hose does not.

Hank,
I try not to troll threads, but I cant take it any more. You cant be serious with this character you play? Hank Bukowski is really just a pen name you and the other Phi Beta Kappas came up with at Dartmouth, right? Or better yet, you're really a nice accountant in Topeka just having a little fun with this ghetto thing while you eat lunch at your desk.
Right?
The phonetic spelling, the constant internet abbreviations, the overworked barely-post-pubescent tone to your posts, it all just an act, right?
It's time to give it a rest, son. It's tax season. You have a lot of work to do before the 15th.
Put that FUBU jacket back in the closet and get to work!

Trace the main fuel line from the rail down to where it connects to the hard lines under the car. You should find two more rubber fuel lines there. One goes to the charcoal canister and one goes to the fuel pressure regulator. The one to the regulator is the return line.
Do pop the fuel pump relay and crank the car. This should relieve the pressure in the fuel rail. However, if you are willing to spew a bit of gas out, then just popping the pressure line off will tell you if your pressure regulator is good or not. If you get a good spray of gas, the regulator is good. If not, it is probably bad.
Get high pressure fuel lines of good quality. They are not that expensive. The dealership sells it by the meter and can be a good place to get the right hose of the right size.
I just replaced my main fuel line because it was checked and cracking. That fuel line is exposed to quite a bit of heat, so it is the one most likely to start cracking. It is a good thing to preemptively replace if you don't know how old yours is.1987 E30 325is

Hank, that was an uncharacteristically modest reply. What am I looking for? What exactly am I supposed learn from " keepin it reaaaaaaa"?
Enlighten me. Are you saying that this is the real (correct spelling) you?
Real. R, E, A, L.
Say it with me.., REAL, make sure to annunciate the "L".
Say it again. Very good.
For our next lesson, we'll work on the word "Ask". Remember, there is no "X" in this word.Comment
