    Newb here

Hey there guys, just joined the forum and thought my first post should be a proper little introduction. I just picked up a 90' vert and can't wait to get the modding started. My previous car which is up for sale right now is 03' 530i, so idk guess I'm downgrading. NOTTTTTTTT! The e30 are great cars and I've been reading/researching the last 2 weeks about it and finally bit the bullet. My first intention was to get a coupe but the vert was a good deal. The vert I got is in decent shape, a little damage to the front but nothing crazy. My family owns a body shop, so the next couple of days I'll be out there. Once again, hello, chao', hola, hallo! :D

Side note: (i searched but nothing came up, guess newbie got to gain some privilege first)

Are all e30 body panels are interchangeable? I found some 85-87 325i hood, fender, radiator, other front end parts for my car, but wasn't sure if the vert has a different body from other e30 and wanted to double check first before I pick them up. Thanks guys/gals!

Here is some pics of my 530i:

As you can see I like riding low and most likely my vert will be somewhat slammed! :p

Nice ride I wish I could afford your 5 series it looks pimpin yo.

Anyways, welcome to r3v., as for your ? on the hoods if your car is 87 and below you will have to pick up the early model body parts and if 88 and above the late e30 parts will do, please correct me if I'm wrong but that's all I can add to your ?., now let see some pics of your e30.

      Hey man, welcome to R3V.

I do not know if the cabby radiator is the same as the coupe, but early and late are quite different.

Is your coolant recovery tank on the drivers side? If so, your car uses a late model radiator.

Everyone here will tell you that early fenders and late fenders are interchangeable, but that was not my experience...however, a few minutes with a pair of tinsnips fixes it.

Get some "before" shots of the cabby up!

So I have a 90' vert, so I would be looking for a 88-up 325i hood? What about other body panels? (fenders, radiator, radiator support, front bumper, valence, etc)

I have the db's for front and rear, will be looking to swap them out for the plastic asap while the car is getting fab up. Just need to double check on the year for fitment. So anyone? Thanks!

Yeah the recovery tank is on the driver side, I'll get some pics over the weekend. Damnn wish the hood I found will fit, its mint and cheap.:(

And for the fender, how so are they different? Man I need to get this confirm, don't want to buy useless part. :p

From what I heard Cabby parts aren't the same, but others will confirm, I don't want to give you wrong info. Look at the bottom part of the sheet metal, see how it extends almost all the way around on the left fender (87 car), vs the one on the right (89). This was the only difference I noticed when I replaced my fenders on my 89 325i.

OIC, got it! So with that a small trim fixed the problem, right! Yeah hopefully I can get some answer by tomorrow, before I head over to check the parts. What about headlight, grill around them, and center grill?

Grills, headlights are the same. Hood should be the same too. You just need to confirm about the fenders/valance maybe too.

What suspension were you running on the e39? The front looks slammed.

when you were driving on a highway on your e39 did you bounce on white divider lanes like a lowrider?

P.S. I like the slammage a lot... a bit too much rake though. I look at it this way: the gap between the rubber and wheel arc whould equal on front and rear --> perfect rake.
