I am going to be doing an install shortly using the stock E30 deck, wired for an AUX input, then using a Sony CD changer as a source.

Stock look, great performance. I am using Sony because the RCAs are separate from the data cable, and even though it is an RF changer, it will be hardwired into the deck, so no FM bullshit.

Changer control will be in the ashtray, so it will be totally hidden.

Police report, get the serial number of the radio, they will submit it to the pawn division.
Fix your locks. It is your fault in the end. Put a flashing led in your console like I did. No one has screwed with mine since, I also take my steering wheel and faceplate in every night no matter what.

Cool. I want to get a Nakamichi CD400 deck, because they're supposed to be good and they don't look like barf.

I want to take one of the miriad of old stock BMW decks, saw the faceplate off and make a false plate for the nakamichi. Complete with half-a-cassette sticking out!

Yea its not all that bad luckily I had all of the dash parts and just bought a stereo, a roll of speaker wire and an alarm off fleabay Im gonna tear my car apart and rewire the speakers when I put in the alarm.
