Resistor Help

I dont know if its the fan or the resistor but my blower doesnt work i tried to turn it on one day and all i got was a really bad smelling electrical burn smell and i was wondering if any one else has seen this and knows what it could be thanks in advance

Your blower resistor thing-a-ma-bob just blew - well maybe - Does it works on full (number 4) settings?

If you smell smoke, I'd suggest unplugging you battery over night. (I've seen 3 or 4 car fires in my life - none of them were pretty)
