I think you found the seat I want.
Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.Comment

With a manual trans swap, that would be worthwhile. I went to the trouble to do the swap on my E38 740iL, but if I'd had any idea I was going to get as far into the car as I did, I would have started with something with a V12. Over eight years or so, the car went from a mommy-mobile to one of my projects.
This car, with a manual trans, would have a cool-factor that would just be enhanced as the years pass.
I figure this would be about a US$10k job, mostly because the 6-speed from a V12 850 is needed and therefore a grand, maybe two, more on the used market (unless a recycler doesn't know its more rare). I believe the bellhousing or something makes the 6-speed different enough from those in the V8s.
