Guys, I saw a '91 318is near where my parents live and I've been looking for an e30 for 7 weeks exactly now.

The car is brillanrot with vinyl black interior. Two fenders were resprayed but rest of the body is kinda dull, with a few dents and scratches, all body panels still have the same vin. Interior is good, some tears on the seats but overall very clean, although radio is missing. I test drove the car and quite liked it. Steering was a bit loose and light but it comes with '17" RIMS yo', with the stock suspension so that might be it. My dad was a bit concerned that there are a few rattles under the car so he told me I might need to change the mounts, probably control arms and tie rods. Owner doesn't have any history on the car and odo stopped at 182k. A/C isn't working but the guy said it only needs a recharge. Don't know if it has LSD.

Guy wants 2200 for it and I got it down to 1900. Is that a fair price for the car or not? Guy wouldn't budge anymore, he's already firm at $1900. What do you guys think? I kinda don't want to pass this up IF it's only a couple of hundred overpriced, just because I'd really like to have an e30 asap.

Just get it.
Most e30s your going to look at will need the things you mentioned.
For $1900 with orignal panels its a good deal.

Yeah, I was hoping to get for around 1500, but guy wouldnt budge because he said he has RIMS and an alarm installed, lol. I still have a few hours to think about it though.

I would bet you could get your hands on a set of bottlecaps w/tires for under $100. Try to let him keep the rims and if not, sell them to someone. You'll do the car a favor and should be right at your $1500 price point. Also, definitely not the deal of the century, but probably good enough.

^ Unfortunately, I don't think I can sell his 17" rims for more than $150. Tires look like they came from wal mart and rims have major curb rash. I'll try it though, if I decide to buy it.

go with $1500 cash and put it is his face. people tend to get greedy and want instant gratification in situations such as that. he'll probably give in. this tends to work for me 80% of the time. Good Luck.
