    junkyard visit

im headin to the junkyard in a couple weekends where they have all you can carry for 50 bux. they have a decent selection of e30s there so i was gonna try and grab a differential if they have something I want and maybe an e36 steering rack, they have a couple e36s IIRC, anything else a big ticket item to grab while im there, you only have to walk 12 feet so i was gonna try to pick up a bunch of LSD if they have em, and look for some interior parts, but i was wondering what are some expensive parts people usually grab from other cars, esp if its only going to cost 50 bux.

I would higher a power lifter for the day, and snag a S52.

LOL at the thought of you trying to carry more than one diff and a few steering racks at once

A big stack of 173 ECUs would be gold. You could carry them like a stack of school books.

seriously you should just make a pile and keep coming back, and/or take a shitload of people with you.

well i already started removing some diff's and throwing them in trunks of the real shitboxes down there, so that way its a quick thing, the thing is each person is 50 bux, and im pretty sure they dont have any s52 cars down there.

If you got 3 people, you might be able to man handle an S52. LOL 3 reallly big people. That's only $150 which wouldn't be bad at all!

Do you have ANY idea how much an E30 differential weighs?

Please, please, PLEASE have someone get video of you trying to carry more than one, or even one and something else.

Yea, I'd like to see pictures too. Those diffs are heavy by themselves. Much less carrying more than one.

And like any heavy part (like an engine block) they don't exactly put handles on them - can't tell you move may times I've almost dropped a bare m20 block on my foot.

Bare M20 blocks are moveable, but not easily. The nice thing is, when completely emptied out, you can get some decent work gloves and put your hands on the ends where the main bearings go - and it works well. But, still pretty heavy!
