    Don't stroke the M20, it probably wouldn't be worth it to you.
    A cam wouldn't do much on a stock displacement M20.
    M50 swaps are good, said to be relatively easy, and not that expensive.
    Turbo'eing the M20 is popular too.
    You telling him a cam wouldn't do anything to a stock displacement m20, when you are suggesting "turbo'eing" over boring/stroking m20 as well... whats with that?

      Increasing displacement doesn't make "cents" when other options are out there. And unlike other cars, a cam upgrade won't do that much on a otherwise stock engine. If he is looking at a cam, it really wouldn't do much unless he upped the stroke. But still, not the most cost-effective upgrade.

      Turbo is a good option for the M20. So is M50 swap. The debate between them is complicated, and never ending. But those are options for him to consider.

      However, if he wants to spend a little money, it can go pretty far with the budget M20 tuning mods, like M30 AFM, JC Chip, and 19# injectors.
