    quick question?

    hey guys i am in the middle of installing JIm C +027 eta ecu into my 325e e30 1985, i got the chip yesterday with the ecu for 100 canadian. so ya i have to disconnect the baterry and just swap ecu's am i right?

      ummmm, yeah. It's not that hard. Really, after 444 posts you should know better. Also, wait more than 10 minutes before bumping your own thread.

      I don't think you even need to disconnect the battery. Just pull out the ECU, open it, swap chips and put it back. Done.

        I'd disconnect the battery just to be safe. Unhook battery, swap ecu, done. :D It is the best reasonable mod for the eta bar none.
