who is it? I think it is one of the best sounding e30's i have heard. Sound really smooth. I want to say the noise from the exhaust is covering the ticking sound but i dont think so.

Team HIW (Hope It Works) friend Kevin in the background, helped me with the Megasquirt system and wiring the engine up.


regular old 2.7 eta short block with i head. Everything stock, just cleaned and rebuilt. The supercharger is an Eaton M62 (1st gen) and the mounting kit is something of my father's design. Management is Megasquirt with wasted spark, running a Ford EDIS. The pulley/toothed wheel is from a ford escort. I machined an adapter for it to be directly bolted to the crank. Alternator was relocated to the other side and power steering converted to manual by way of removal of the pump assist ring.
Questions? ask away. but remember, this was a budget competition so this is what i created with $2006... no joke.

lol budget is the key word here. i couldnt afford it. kevin is constantly egging me on to get it painted and back into the game for 2008 but i dont have time and things like marshmellow engine mounts have got to go. I would like to point this vehicle in the direction of a NASA GT racer... just not with this engine. Got to go light weight! Thinking of stroker M42 modded out.



...even if GA Tech beat me with their pretty paint job, i still got engine bay honerable mention :)
