Theres a small plastic nut on the inside edge of the door. Remove that, then slide/carefully pull the trim off. The fenders will require a little more force, as you can't really slide them off, but still be gentle. You should hear a loud popping noise as the clips come loose.
The front bumper trim consists of 2 pieces, with clips attached along the edge. Carefully pry one side loose and work your way along.
The rear bumper is 3 pieces, two sides and a central piece. Remove them the same way as the front.
You can remove the bumper trim with the bumpers on the car, but if you haven't done it before, you are much more likely to break some clips. If you are replacing it, it's no big deal. I would try to use something thin like a putty knife to release the clips if you are going to do it while on the car.
They're part of the trim, so if you break them there's not much hope of fixing them. Not really a whole lot you can do to make it easier other than go slowly and use a putty knife to ease them loose.
No, the trim won't sit right without the clips. I highly recommend you remove the bumpers if you're keeping you're not replacing the trip. The bumpers take like 10 minutes to take off. You will be able to actually see what you're doing and you will save yourself some frustration.
I think the idea is if you pull the bumper, you will be able to get at the backside of the clip and have an easier time of separating the trim and bumper without breaking the clips that are part of the trim. If you plan on painting the old trim, this is recommended. If you are using new trim strips that have good clips on them, rip away at the old stuff. How's that?
lube everything up with WD or similar (we have wurth rubber care) remove the bumpers carefully take needle nose pliers and center the bumper clips in the hole and push them out.
for the side moulding use snap on tool number 8369538. put it inbetween the moulding and the body and TWIST not pry it offwhile you are prying spray some WD on the clip. easy and usually no broken clip.
