Buying a car from MA, WTF do I do??

I'm purchasing an E30 that is currently licensed and registered in Massachusetts. Flying up and driving it back down to Florida. However, MA is the only state that doesn't issue temp tags to individuals. How the hell am I supposed to drive this car back legally?

At this point, the only option I apparently have is to take the plate off my 5'er with me to lessen the chances I get pulled over on my way back.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with this particular dilemma?

    TIA!

Put a piece of paper in the back of the window. I bought my car in TN and drove it thw hole way back to GA(nice long moutain roads are fun) and Only got pulled over in North GA cus there were 3 or 4 cops pulling people for speeding and they only noticed that I had no tag. They guy asked for the typical and I was on my marry way. As long as you have the title in hand and your ID I'm pretty sure it would be fine.

see if you can borrow the current plates and mail them back.

I wouldn't swap tags, can get you in big trouble

Florida only supplies temp tags for cars registered in the state, i.e., if I was buying the vehicle here.

Thanks, I guess I'll just drive it back with title and insurance in hand and hope for the best.

Get a bill of sale and take that to your DMV to get plates for your car. Then take your plates with you to MA and drive back with FL plates on it.

A lot of states, KY included, will not give you plates or a tag without the car being there for inspection.

Best bet is to have the title and proof of insurance -
