I think they are, on my first E30, I took the hood off just to do the timing belt because I wanted to be sure I could see what I was doing, and when I put it back on the gaps on the sides weren't identical.

Seriously though seth, these guys are giving you a hard time because you didn't do any work yourself before asking a question. Just go out and take a look around before asking for help on a topic. You will get a lot more results from people who respect the fact that you at least tried it on your own first.

    Just... don't lose your hardware!

I dunno, some hoods are kinda finicky. I don't think e30 hoods are adjustable though.

I am trying to figure this out, too. Seems my hood is installed backwards, and I want to fix it.

sell e30, buy civic. Honda hoods are much easier than a BMW hood to remove.

    Go buy this: http://www.amazon.com/BMW-E30-Servic...9625415&sr=8-2

And come back after you've read the whole thing. This type of question will NOT get a serious answer. Taking off the hood is probably one of the easiest things EVER to do. JUST LOOK. If you have ANY common sense whatsoever, you'll figure it out.

    K...thxbye
