replace the starter. if its an m42 and dosent run after being parked for an afternoon, remove the head without checking anything else, and if all else fails punch a hold in the gas tank to remove the gas for two weeks.

Thanks to the people who actually want to help lol, I was really looking for some tips on it. I didn't know it was such a dumb ass question being completely new to doing anything to cars, but its cool I would give someone a hard time if they asked a question that I thought was retarded.

step one: cut hole in box

    step two: get a BFH

step three: remove old hood and replace with new one.

seriously- the attachment and adjustment points are as simple as looking at them.

Installation and removal of the hood is very easy by yourself, I cant see any point where another set of hands wouldn't just get in the way.

It's not a matter of how heavy it is, it's because the thing is so awkward to hold and try to set it down in the slots without having two sets of eyes looking around the corner. Based on the fact that you asked HOW to do it, you're GOING to want another person to help you.

I dunno, some hoods are kinda finicky. I don't think e30 hoods are adjustable though.
they are adjustable in every possible axis you can imagine.

you don't need two people either, unless you are really fucking weak -the hood is about 37lbs. hold it with the rear end facing up and the painted side facing you, set the rollers in their tracks, set the front down on the hinges, finger tighten the bolts, and close it to check for adjustment. loosen/adjust where neccesary. wash, rinse, repeat.
