Front oem strut mounts

Hello,

Are the e30 strut mounts different for the early and newer e30s? Specifically the inside hole for the shock insert tube, since they are different among shocks (bilstein vs. koni).

Anyone? I want to throw e30m3 springs and oem strut mounts (bought a good used set from a 325 car) on the car this weekend and don't have a tool to measure the inside of the bearing....

currently bilstein sports + gc coilover and gc camber plates
will be bilstein sports + e30m3 springs and oem strut mounts

From what I have always read, as long as it's not an iX then all E30's use the same upper strut mount.

They should all be the smae. Make sure you pack them with some good synthetic bearing grease before you install them.

Thanks all! I just realized that I am missing a few parts to do this swap.... doh.

Ended up pulling the struts out of my 89 car to get the parts I needed, got the swap done. Coil-overs , camber plates and new shocks going on the 89 along with new control arms and cabs (both are shot).
