So my external fuel pump went bad. Boo. I put in a 255lph pump in tank and replaced the other pump with just hose. (bad idea? Maybe.) However, no power to the in tank pump now. Bah!
I hook up a volt meter to the leads coming off of the old fuel pump, i get a reading for a second, then nothing. err...?
The 15a fuse is blown. :ohsnap: Try again with same result.
Is there a certain amount of resistance that needs to be in the circuit and removing the pump is making the fuse blow?
Also, is installing the bigger pump in tank causing the external pump to go pop?
I'd like to run just one pump since the later model e30s do this and thought a 255lph pump could do this. But if the electrical system is all crazy I'll just buy another external pump. (boo)
