Well I guess since it's an IX it would be appropriate to have larger tires and a high car, but it's just not the look I would go for with those wheels.

For the record my tires are OE width in the front and just over OE width in the rear ;) AND I don't rub (anymore).

Good. And don't get me wrong, the taste I described is not mine. Your car looks great how it is.

I think they are kind of ugly, and I think the ones without the polished lip look 10 times better... but still aren't the kind of rims I'd dump 300 a pop on at all. The chrome lip looks like but next to the alloy imo. If it was a black lip whatever or black in center, but the chrome lip just looks like someone polished an alloy lip on alloys... it's not enough contrast to really pop, just enough contrast to almost blend... awkwardly.

Just my thoughts though. I don't worship any set of rare rims just because they are rare. When it comes down to it there are only a couple of aspects to rims anyways. size, fitment, weight, and looks. And for all functional purposes on a street driven machine, weight doesn't matter, and rarity doesn't look any better or worse or spin any faster. I always cringe when I see the big money people spend on rare rims, and the funny thing is even if they are "rare" this generally means everyone wants the same set of rare rims on their car, which would make them less desirable, hence the usual everyone swapping to different rare rims every few months.

When it's all said in done my bottlecaps will out rare all the fancy shit coz you guys will have sold and melted them all when you got your fancy uber rims. Bottlecaps ftw!

Also just for the haters, Sportmaxx rules.

That was the most retarded post I've read in quite a while. You can smoke and function semi-normally I guess, but you are not supposed to drink the bong water...

the paint is pretty fresh respray from previous owner, slight orange peel but overall decent all things considered. It looks great when it isn't covered ine limegreen/yellowish haze of pollen.

i thought this thread was about my wheels. and then it turns into something about shitty sportmax wheels...

...the end of it was pretty entertaining though.

btw i think im going to just keep the wheels.
