Hi, guys, I'm using fporro's account (with his permission) to post this note.

I joined this site a couple of weeks ago (as "ainadude") and seem to be able to log on just fine. However, any time I try to post -- either as a response or as a new thread -- I get sent to a screen that tells me I don't have permission and may not have sufficient privileges. Did I miss something in the sign-up process? Should I have received an e-mail following sign-up? This is cool, very active site and I was looking forward to posting pics of my '87 is I'm in the process of converting to Euro bumpers/M-Tech 1.

Any help appreciated.

... and, yes, I've got a valid e-mail address listed twice in my control panel. I'm guessing my account hasn't -- for whatever reason -- been activated. Should I be on the lookout for an R3V e-mail that's supposed to come my way?

yeah you are supposed to get a verification e-mail with a link in it.. check your junk email box.

I had the same problem back when I joined, but sadly I have absorbed too much BMW info, and had too many drinks since then to recall what the fuck was causing the problem.I'll be getting drunk tomorrow night so I'll see if that brings anything back to me.

Julian, thanks for the heads-up. No, nothing in my junk mail, but I've got a pretty aggressive filter so I may have inadvertantly flushed it the first time around.

Admin: Can you re-send my validation e-mail?

And let me publicly thank fporro for the use of his account, as well as for his help on my M-Tech conversion.
