    Car is falling apart.

Yep car is literally falling apart.

I was following my friend who was in his E30 and all of a sudden i hear this horrid sound metal on metal griding sound and then my shifter got a weird felling whenever i went into gear so i hollered at him to pull over at the gas station up ahead i get out. Look around dont see anything ya know. so i call my pops since i was 3 miles from my house he comes on over takes it for a spin gives me the okay to take it home yada yada. I am very unsecure when it comes to car problems i like to have second opinoins and defintally from someone who knows there stuff.

What happened well at the station i poked around the engine bay i see one of the tranny bolts worked out so i screw it in a tiny bit get home, jack up car and start tightening well holy shit...i only have 2 bolts!!! both of which are on the right side.

my car only had one tranny bolt tightly secured down.

Car is not driven off road and not driven hard enough to cause something like this. its not abused in anyway the car that is. Before that i lost my output shaft that connect to the differential.

Yea i got under the car at the parking lot and i see it just hangin there. I got lucky all it did was work its self loose and pop off and take a bight out of the diff hanger.

Oh also when i replaced the engine the tranny bolts were tightended down really good and so was the output or whatnot on the differential.

This is all too weird and very unsafe. almost lost my tranny on the road yea hmm.

      That's what happens when you:

      A) Don't get new bolts
      B) Don't torque and then re-torque to make sure they are all tightened to the right specs.
      C) Don't use common sense.

Sorry bro, but shit happens, good luck on keeping the thing together ;)

what do you mean dont use common sense. i was using common sense. by trade my dad is an aircraft techinician and has been for 23+ years i think he would know what he is doing or so i hope whenever i finish working on my car i ALWAYS and always have him check it and make sure everything is tight before i take car off jacks.

There has never been once where i havent had him check the car to make sure its safe and i dont think there ever will be a time when he doesnt check to make sure its done correctly. atleast not for awhile.

To be quite honest..i dont trust myself with anything at all i am very sketchy especially under car and so forth. Just plain out dont trust myself to do something and something correct.
