You seem to be *really* sensitive about this, it seems like the metrosexual queers over on Bimmerforums are more your speed. You might want to hang out over there.

That is a problem with YOUR car and the 318 e36. How is that an e36 problem? That is a particular motor and drivetrain problem that happen to be in an e36 body. Has nothing to do with the car dude.

Oil Pump nut is a stupid fucking myth. End of the story. I have been at multiple race shops and my car has 120,000 and none have welded oil pump nuts. How many failed nuts are there? 100? 200? How many e36 are on the road? Give me a fucking break.

You seem to be a moron that spouts off bullshit. You are the one that seems more sensitive. If you hate the 318ti sell it.

Yah and 30's never break anything. Never have weird random electrical problems...

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the e30 but the e36 is a better car. I will get another e30 here someday and get back into it but right now my e28 and M3 are doing well.

And just to have a little fun...

A GOOD SOLID e28 is better than an e30 is good shape ;)

I have owned 5 e30s - not a one ever had a weird electrical problem or non-working power window.

Nor has it ever torn out its rear subframe from the body.

Likewise, I'm going on 11 years with the current e30, zero electrical gremlins.

The oil pump nut is very real, for someone that wants to pretend to be a club racer, I'm surprised you're not more familiar. I've seen a lot of trashed motors due to that nut backing off. FWIW, mine is tacked on in the M50.

The thing about it is though as just like with anything. Only bad experiences are posted on forums. How many 92-95 325i have NOT torn out their rear subframes? I would say 95-98%.

We see the guys on the forum posting that they did it and it is a "known" problem.

It is also know BMW over built e28 and e30 and they did not do this on the e36. I will fully admit the e36 has some maladies but where there is 1 person with this problem there are 100,000 that don't have it.

BMWs have always had weak cooling systems. That is something to do with. Failing water pumps, grenading fan clutches and the like. The e30 radiator seems to be a little more heavy duty but I have seen blown ones so it does happen. Not as much as an e36 and not as common but it happens.

I am fully familiar. I know all about it.

I will just ignore the other comments because it is not worth my time.

See you in GTS whenever you get there. I'll be starting mid next season.

agreed the only electrical issue I have had is the ground on the pass side front maker light rotting out. But 16 years of winter driving in NY an Mi will tend to rot out some things.

Yeah, E36s are real POS's. Friend was a service writer at a dealership and the crap he saw regularly was redic.

You sir haven't ruffled any feathers. I am up for any type of internet arguing and debating. I am however against internet myths, such as the Fan Delete Mod that bf.c e36 owners love and how it adds all this horsepower and it never over heats.

A lot of what you have posted is true about the e36. It has some weak spots just like any car. Nothing is perfect, including the e30.

Was your friend a service writer when the e30 was new? If he was not then his stories of the e36 are not valid because he has nothing to compare the two.

I am also not a women and I am 24 so far from a kid. Apparently if you argue on the internet someone got your "panties tweaked" when it was just some fun debating and arguing.
