I know we are probably a little biased, but r3v is the best e30 forum hands down. E30 tech is great for turbo info but beyond that it is pretty useless. Bimmerforums is for hair gelled, pop collared, metrosexual, high school, e36 street racers. Seriously.

By the way, are all three sites run by the same person/company? Is there a reaon everything is pretty similar?
Nope, all run by different people with different ideas and tastes. They all run an VBulliten software, so that may be what you are talking about.

Seems like there's a lot more people on here that're in Socal, too. That's definitely a plus. Seemed like bimmerforums most were in the midwest and east coast.

    Very true on all points.

The welcome is harsh but you will learn to love r3v.

bf.c has the best moderator around...but is only good for entertainment value for the most part. Most of the knowledgeable people on bf.c frequent all 3 sites. It's kind of where the newbs start before they graduate to one of the other 2 sites. I'm trying to bring up the quality of the information, but it's an uphill battle.

R3V has an excellent tech section, knowledgeable people, but doesn't suffer fools lightly. Users are generally honest to a fault and have an acerbic response to most anything, regardless of the topic.

e30tech is where the fools who aren't suffered lightly by R3V go. I think I have 4 posts there.

Ya thats pretty much the gist of it.

r3v has by far the most tech info but we are also a jaded and close knit bunch so expect a rough welcome, if you stick around you will learn to love it.

E30tech is really good for turbo info but I find the rest of the forum to be really boring... and they arnt as brutal or honest.

Bf.C dont even bother for e30 info...

    R3vlimited vs. E30tech vs. bimmerforums??

I'm brand new to E30s and to BMWs, just got an '88 325iS. I've gotten a lot of helpful info from all three of these sights. I'm just a little confused. They all seem like they're pretty much the exact same setup and the info even seems to be very similar. So can someone enlighten me as to the difference of the three?? I'm on all three but I'd like to narrow it down because I keep getting confused as to where I post stuff. :pimp:
