    Exhaust Tips....

I posted this in the exhaust section, but since one goes in there I never got any replies.

Anyway, I've decided I'm going to replace that rusted-out joke of a Dinan exhaust on my car with a custom exhaust.

I'm thinking Y after the headers and run a single 2.5" back into either a Borla or Magnaflow muffler.

I want to go with dual tips, but it seems most tips that are single in dual out are only 2.25" in. Borla makes a couple that are 2.5" in, but I'm not sure I'd like how there "intercooled" tips would look on an E30.

    Any suggestions?

The tips look okay on an M3 and that is about it. Magnaflow sells some very nice tips, but they arent cheap. Then again, they are a lot cheaper than Borla's. I've got 2.25 running to 2 3-inch tips. I'm going to line it up better and pull it back under the valence a bit farther in the near future.

      Notice I said 2.5" in.

If I was going to go with a 2.25" muffler choices abound.

But I'm not sure running a single 2.25" exhaust on M20 is the right way to go.

O'reary? Yeah throw up some pics and PM with what you want for it.

And from looking at the pics above, it seems as though I need muffler that is offset on one or both sides?

It should be out of the shop today, so I'll run it by the muffler shop and see if I can get the guy to take a look at it.
