^You'd probably want to look for a 3.73, there have been a few for sale lately.

Those are the basics. But depending on the year of your car you might need an adapter harness to make the I engine harness work with your cars chassis wiring. Also you have to make a decision about the cooling system. If you go late model you need the water pump, reservoir, rad, and hoses.

The list of little things goes on and on, as someone who did that very swap personally I can tell you the list of little things that are different is endless.

On the bright side if the car is/was complete and running then you should have all those little pieces on it, It will just be a matter of putting them on and putting them on right. Because let me tell you those little things are a bitch to find. Especially in northern Alberta.

well i told u we started the car yesterday and it ran fine. hell it ran from the first time we tried. but yah i think i will buy the car and put it back together. its only 600$ so its not that much. but the problem is my car (325e) has zero rust and its clean, i was thinking of swaping the motor and the suspensions , plastic bumpers from the i and then reck it.

Hey man I am just trying to answer your questions and help you out. You don't have to justify your decision because I really don't give a shit what you do.

All I am saying is don't just expect everything to fall together, and its not just a simple as engine, harness and ECU.

Do whatever you want but its going to be alot cheaper to the swap the parts over if you can do the work yourself than it will be to get a car that been involved in a collision repaired PROPERLY.

i totally agree with u, the car has a bented radi support and it will propably be over 2000$ or somthing to put it back together, so yah i am taking the bumpers, shocks +springs , engine, alarm system for 200$ .;) oh btw can i use my eta transmission or i need the i one.

Your tranny should work fine. You want the flywheel off his engine though.

I personally would buy the whole car and then just swap you need over as you need it and keep the rest for spare parts. A parts car is an unbelievably useful resource. Not to mention you can sell what you aren't going to use and re-coup some of your cost on them car. For $600 dollars I'd say you can't go wrong.
