Early front lower seat belt strap?

What's the correct PN for #3 seat belt lower strap ?

I thought it was 72111941409 but it isn't, these don't work with early belts at all

    Thanks!

The early model belts don't work with the late model receptacles? My late model belts work with my early model receptacles. I just figured they were both interchangeable.

How much did those late model receptacles run you from the dealer?

The early belts don't work with the late model receptacles, correct. They don't latch at all.

They were about 70 for a pair from blunttechenterprises.

Hmm, not sure I can offer any helpful words here. I'm glad that I know this now though.

          Judging by this, I'd say it's 72111972057 or 72111972058.

              Early ones are not available.

So, I am going to see what it will take to install 89 belts into my 84 318i instead....

                Jean,
I have a complete set of seat belts from a 91, minus the driver clip. Let me know if you are interested. They are in great shape.

FUCK I knew there was something I forgot to order from blunt lol. My pass side is completely shot, and the driver side will only latch if you push the button down first.

Maybe go to the stealer and see if they can look it up? Might know something realoem doesn't.

No, mobile tradition won't even help in this case. So, SOL.

Let me see what condition belts on my 89 325i are (I don't need them, as that car will get a roll-bar and aftermarket harnesses with the corbeau seats) and I'll let you know!

So I just took the front belts off my 89 325i car and swapped them into my 83 318i along with the seatbelt recepticles. So they swap right over for those who are wondering.

                        No modifications needed.

Interesting, I tried the same trick using MY89 belts on a MY87 car and the front seat belt unit seemed very loose in the b-pillar. Did you run across the same issue?

No, all tight. Did it have all the washers and plastic hardware on the long bolt ?

I'm guessing not, I'll have to try it again and use a few more washers. I'm 90% sure that the rear belts are not specific from early to late model or from coupe to sedan.
