    Issues... engine/clutch

I noticed when I drive my m3 (more noticeable coming off a load) when I take my foot off the gas, and push the clutch in, the RPMS go up about 500 then drop down like they should.

As far as I can tell nothing is effected by it, just strange. One thing I do notice though, comparing to other manual cars I have had, when I leave it in gear, and take my foot off the gas, it takes a few seconds for it to "catch" so to speak before I can feel whatever gear I am in start to slow me down.

I don't have any history on what clutch is actually in this thing. I never took the trans off when I swapped the s52 in, I just would hope it worked, and it did. FWIW the pedal is stiff as hell like theres a non-stock pressure plate in there or something.

I have no other clutch issues either.

First thing I checked was the throttle cable, its brand new and is adjusted right, so I don't think the TB is sticking open momentarily when I go off the gas.

That sounds like a slipping clutch.

Go out on the higway get in 4th or 5th gear, give the car full throttle, quickly, and see if the car rev's without providing anymore power. If so, clutch is slipping, time for a new one.
