    instrument cluster clock

alright, i just bought a new cluster to replace my broken odometer (for nearly the same price as odo gears) so ill have an extra one and it would be awesome if it was a clock. ive planned it out too

speedometer goes up just shy of 130 for 12:59 then falls back down to 10 for 1:00

tachometer goes up to 6k for seconds

temp guage goes to blue for am and red for pm

    gas guage doesnt do anything

only problem with this is i dont know how to do it so, does anyone here know how to do this?... george?

Microcontroller and some digital pots, or PWM.

I guessing that doesn't answer your question.

Honestly - I like the cleaver idea of representing time withe the stock faces. But I think something easier and might be just as cool if you buy a clock kit (it's a box with motors, has space for a battery and then shafts to install some hands onto) Print up your own guage face on a good laser printer(kinkos?) and install all of that into the cluster)

Modify the tack and speedo "hands" of to fit the clock

You can get a euro clock form one of the 324tds that had a clock in place of the tach..

i think you missed the point, i would have to buy another cluster for that when i have a spare cluster here, ill probably end up just parting out this cluster and keeping the speedo and bad odometer, everything else works fine

unless someone wants to help me out on this clock
