    follow up to old problem

    Hey Guys,

I am having some trouble with the cold idle of my 90 325i, as seen here: http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=110252

I was reading some various threads and noticed some people tried just reseting their ecu, so I tried it. The car runs amazing after I disconnect and reconnect the battery, but not for good. So, does this mean the ECU is shot?

Thanks so much, this forum has been fantastic in helping so far!

Did you try replacing the coolant temp sensor as adviced? I'm having the exact issue. I haven't replaced anything yet though. Mine are the following-From cold, if I start the car and tap the gas pedal, the car stumbles a little bit and almost stalls. Letting it warm up makes the problem go away. It runs fine after it's warm.
It has to be something with the coolant temp. It feels as if one the thermostat opens, it runs normally.
