What's better ADT or SLOMIN'S Home Alarm Systems?

I bought a new home in LI and will be making a decision.

We had ADT in our old house, ours was a nice system and very easy to operate.

ADT is garbage. They give you those crappy Simon systems for dirt cheap so they can rape you later on. They do make you feel more secure but the CU can be disabled in less than 3 minutes on 90% of those systems. I worked for a company that was hired to service thier systems and I just went in and started ripping the shit off the walls and backcharging for a new system.

Find someone who contracts to install either a DSC or Caddx system and actually hardwires everything. Even in an existing house I have the tools to install it all in the walls to where nobody could tell it was not there when it was built.

Have them put a heat detector (independent of the 120v smokes in the house) whereever your control center is (HVAC, Water Heater, ect) and wire it to the notifier (included on both systems) and then make sure your monitoring company covers it. Its a HUGE discount on homeowners/renters insurance.

ADT has been awesome for us, but the house I bought had every door and window including all garage entrances hardwired so all I pay them for is monitoring.

They quoted me about $41 a month, I think this is high
