That is appalling actually. What is the warranty length on the film itself? 2 year? 5 year?

I wasn't given any kind of information about a warranty. Although I didn't bother to ask about a warranty. Not very discriminating on my part I suppose.

Pretty much everything ditchdigger said earlier is spot on. Looking at the pictures, the biggest problem is shitty prep work. There is a ton of dirt on that glass, which is why you see all those tiny bubbles. Same goes for the corners. Larger bubbles near the defroster lines can sometimes be pressed out with a credit card, but all of that small stuff is just dirt.

Good luck with your problem. I have a feeling you will be learning a lesson in 'you get what you pay for', or 'choosing your battles'. It's not worth getting too pissed about. It's not like you bought a house full of termites or something. I hope you can get it worked out.

$200? $250?
I'll admit, I thought $165 sounded like a good deal but not cheap.

I had a tint job done on my 12 year old SUV. As dirty as the truck was at the time, I didn't get a single visable ripple, air bubble, or cloud. Also the way that he dealt with the rubber seal on the back window was to take a utility knife and trim the inside edge that rests against the glass so when he installed the tint, he could tuck it in deep enough to where the trimmed edge could not be seen from the outside.

It was a very professionally done job which cost me $240. It was money well spent.

Thanks alot! I'll keep it in mind. If the deal tomorow goes crazy sour I might want that. The apt. tomorow is for them to fix my defrost grid but I dont want them doing any more work on it than nessessary. I'd rather and fix that myself instead of wonder how good a job they're gonna do. Instead I am gonna straight up tell them I want my money back and I want the shit stripped off and my windows clean.

I consider hair to be part of the dirt family in this case. I wouldn't pay less than $200 to tint a car, although rates will vary depending on location. And you are paying for the install. Do you have any idea how cheap tint film is? Even good stuff doesn't cost a whole lot; it's the prep and install you are paying for. And, as you can see, even if it were $250, it would be worth it in time and aggravation alone, no? Good luck and deal with this now before too much time passes. Even at a shitty shop, that work should be deemed unacceptable.
