You wouldn't be hard pressed to find many e30's, mustangs, and camaro's that outrice pretty much any of those "riceboxes" as some might call them.

On a side note, I think it's bullshit to try and give these USDM variants the credibility the Jap units garner. The US versions are just commuter cars with pedigree lineage.

yeah coz you know... those JDM versions of each car I listed are just so much superior... with the exception of any models that received smaller turbos stateside such as the 3000gt, they are all still plenty formidable platforms... also... that tends to be why a lot people seriously into the import scene tend to... you know... try to... import... the better parts for their cars... from the market of origin... like that KDM Tiburon fidhle wet dreams about while telling everyone how he takes out 3000GT VR4's from a highway roll. But he completely understands how difficult it is to get an E30 over 150mph... that's why he had to start running afterburners+nawz.Those vr4's... they just take so long and pull so weak in the triple digits, they can't even touch a flying brick!

fidhle, you really do crack me up calling "magazine racing" on me quoting top speed on my car, just because it's coming from a guy who claims he can beat said car on a highway pull, based off of horse power per litre.... seriously, you are a funny motherfucker. I'm not talking so the ploblem isn't me shutting up. All you have to do is not read what I type if you don't like me.
It's kind of like how you and your guy friends probably cruise around with the radio on, then some culture club comes on and you're like "oh man, this is totally gay" but none of you change it... or you do that... I'm going to change it but find nothing else and change it back and listen to something I totally hate rather than listen to nothing move.... but we all know you like it. If you guys didn't have people to disagree and argue with... there would be no internet forums.
