    Austin Healey Sprite

Im looking at a nice summer car to cruise to work and bum around town in so I can ease the miles on my gas guzzling, and high milage odo pathfinder. Right down the street is a nice yellow Austin Healey Sprite for sale. The lady is asking about 3000 for it and it looks to be in damn good condition. My uncle knows the in and out of every MG model ever made and at first glance I thought that this car was a midget. Anyone know much about these cars?

Not sure but I'd take one in a minute if I could find one.

So you're having trouble affording the gas for an SUV, but want to pick up a 30+ year old british car for a daily driver?

        Yikes.

Not too fond of the Alfa's, but the Austins are a different story altogether. That'd be a great toy, and money pit.

it wouldnt be a daily driver and I have my uncle who can source out parts ans help me fix anything on em for wicked cheap. The most this car would see is my 5 mile commute to work in the summer and some weekend cruises. The patfinder would sit for my 70 mile trips to mail to see my gf or any bad weather and most major drives. Plus theyre just plain fun. Id put maybe 2000 miles a year on this thing. They are one of the simplest cars to work on and I feel like it would be a good learning experience.

it is not the degree in engineering. it is luck. if it rains or not which unprotected, half ass wired connection will get wet and msteriously work or not.

Besides if he pushes the sprite 70 miles instead of paying for gas that is cheaper.

buy the alfa that was offered it is a better chick magnet and more dependable.

any BL product runs 50 miles between services unless it rains.
