    Guibo question

    Anyone know if an early E36 (small) guibo will fit an E30 with the small guibo driveshaft?

    RealOEM shows the part #'s as being different but the dimensions are the same... curious because I have an extra E36 guibo kicking around and it'd save me having to buy one.

    For those curious on which parts, the following:

    E36 = 26 11 1 227 410
    E30 = 26 11 1 225 624

    "See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

    As long as the dimensions are the same and the sleeves are the same size there shouldn't be a problem. If it has bigger holes or it is thinner from tranny side to driveshaft side then I would suggest not using it. If everything checks out the same, I wouldn't see the harm in trying it out. Not to mention if it does work then you can let us on here know that and we may be able to get it cheaper. I could see an e36 part being cheaper than an E30 part.

    Let us know.
